Marie Kondo and her tidying mission went from relative obscurity to worldwide fame in a matter of a few years.

In 2015, Marie Kondo launched a new initiative: KonMari Media, Inc. Punch was selected as the agency to make this media business a reality. Punch outsourced engineering services to us to build solutions for KonMari. It was not an easy job to satisfy the expectation of worldwide followers of Konmari. We took this as a challenge gave it our best shot. We had to work in parallel on different platforms so coordination between engineering and design team was key.
We in collaboration with Punch helped to unify her look and feel, update her online presence, and introduce and build her first digital app for iPhone. A global team of engineers and designers followed the SCRUM methodology to make sure project synergy is maintained. We planned a soft release for iOS app users and later added gamification in it to ensure long term engagement of users. Together with Punch our engineering and design teams worked with Marie to realize her mission to “organize the world.”
